The dramatic comedy “This is Where I Leave You” is directed by Shawn Levy, and based on the hilarious and poignant best-selling novel by Jonathan Tropper.  It features a starring ensemble cast including Golden Globe winner Jason Bateman (“Arrested Development”); Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Tina Fey (“30 Rock”); and two-time Oscar® winner, multiple Golden Globe honoree and 2013 Emmy Award nominee Jane Fonda (“Klute,” “Coming Home,” HBO’s “The Newsroom”).

“A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST” Una película Con Inesperadas Sorpresas y Te Hará Reír...

El pasado 17 de mayo, se llevó a cabo, la conferencia de prensa de la película “A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST” con el escritor, director y actor Seth MacFarlane y Charlize Theron.

Esta película, fue escrita por MacFarlane, junto a Alex Sulkin y Wellesley Wild. “MILLION WAYS TO DIE”, cuenta la historia de un hombre llamado Albert Stark (Seth MacFarlane), un hombre que no tiene la habilidad de disparar una pistola y quiere irse del lugar de donde vive, ya que de acuerdo a el, es un lugar donde todo mundo está destinado a morir en el.  Pero, todo se complica más, cuando llega al pueblo, una mujer llamada Anna (Charlize Theron) quien lo ayuda a aprender a disparar y a creer en sí mismo y con quien comienza a enamorarse de manera inesperada.  

Durante la Conferencia De Prensa, se le preguntó a Seth, como fue su experiencia actuando en esta película, ya que él no ha tenido tanta experiencia frente a las cámaras.

“Estuve un poco preocupado...pero hubieron dos cosas que fueron rápidamente evidentes cuando comencé a actuar y una de ellas fue, que actuar con mi cuerpo, no necesite de mucho esfuerzo como yo pensé iba a ser, sino que fue más actuar, a través de la voz.  Actuar, fue algo nuevo para mi, pero tu desempeño depende mucho también del otro actor y yo trabaje con una de las más talentosas actrices (Charlize Theron), quien me dio tanto y fue fácil trabajar con ella durante el proceso y le tomé gusto a la actuación” explicó Seth MacFarlane.

Talvez, fue por esto, la gran química que hay entre ambos en ésta película y se le preguntó a Charlize sobre esto.

“Creo que fue liberante, si se puede utilizar esta palabra en éste tipo de contexto, pero necesitas sentirte así, para hacer tu trabajo y si trabajas con un gran director y co-protagonista, en quien confías y te anima es fácil.  Además, el es una persona muy divertida con quien trabajar, so definitivamente no fue como ir al dentista con él” dijo Charlize Theron, haciendo reír a la prensa.

Charlize Theron nos dijo, que cuando leyó el guión, hizo un poco de persecución, para ser parte de este proyecto.

“Yo leí el guión, mucho antes de que se hablara de que Seth estaba en este proyecto. Al leer el material, ver que tan bien estaba escrito, me encantó el personaje y pensé que podía traer algo a la mesa, so definitivamente quise ser parte del proyecto.  Y la idea de hacer algo tan inusual en el género de la “comedia en el oeste” fue intrigante” dijo Charlize Theron.

Otro actor muy conocido y un veterano en la industria del cine, que también formó parte del elenco de “A MILLION WAYS TO DIE IN THE WEST” fue Liam Neeson, con el cual ambos coincidieron en que fue extraordinario trabajar con el.

“Fue extraordinario.  El no es un actor con un solo estilo, no importa que el haga, lo hace muy bien y yo creo que es por eso que las personas lo quieren y el porque conectas emocionalmente trabajando con él, sin importar qué personaje está interpretando.  El personifica al villano en esta película y lo hace tan bien.  Su actuación es tan natural, porque viene de lugares de entendimiento y empatía, no es mecánico o forzado” dijo Charlize Theron.

“Yo todavia no lo puedo creer que él aceptara estar en este proyecto. Su personaje, necesitaba alguien que se viera genuinamente peligroso.  La presencia de Liam no puede ser sobrepasada y el fue esencial, para que la historia pudiera trabajar y él fue grandioso y una gran persona con quien compartir y constantemente profesional” dijo Seth MacFarlane.

Durante la película, hubieron apariciones solo por segundos, de talentosos actores y escenarios, de los cuales no voy a mencionar, ya que no quiero hacer un “spoiler”, pero se le preguntó a Seth como logró que ellos formaran parte del proyecto, aunque fuera por unos segundos en la película y como decidió a quien utilizar en cada parte.

“Siempre depende más de la risa que la palabra.  Depende del momento, quien es y quien es el “actor”.  Como por ejemplo, necesitábamos al personaje de Liam, matar a alguien en el “bar” para aterrorizar a todo mundo en el, so pensamos en cierto actor, quien en “Ted” lo hizo muy bien y porque no sacar una risa aquí, cuando normalmente sería un momento serio” dijo Seth.

Para finalizar, Charlize le dijo a Seth frente a la prensa, que el hizo muy buen trabajo escogiendo al elenco de la película.

“Yo creo todo mundo hizo un gran trabajo en este proyecto y tu (Seth MacFarlane, hicistes un gran trabajo escogiendo al elenco para ésta película.  Fue un grupo de actores extraordinarios, la pasamos bien, trabajamos duro, por poco nos morimos juntos (dijo entre risas), dimos lo mejor de nosotros mismos en ésta película y nos reímos bastante, so yo pienso que estamos unidos de por vida. Y Liam fue muy divertido y gracioso, creo que eso nos sorprendió a todos” dijo Charlize Theron haciendo a la prensa reirse.
